The Refined Audi Q2: New Design & Style

When the first Audi Q2 reached the roads four years ago, the compact SUV set new standards for luxury SUVs of this size – setting trends and becoming a significant model in the Audi line up. A few years on, the model is now showcasing true style and unique Audi design. Featuring a new, striking, and sleek profile, the refined Audi Q2 offers new headlights as well as new features as part of the Audi connect services and driver assist systems. Not only is the new model easy on the eye, it is also a better drive.

The exterior style is uniquely Audi, boasting a modern and strong design to hint at the SUVs everyday capability. A sporty and powerful appearance is not only nice to look at, but also useful when it comes to performance. With a slightly longer body and the drag coefficient of 0.31 (with sport suspension), which is a top-of-the-range value in the segment. The latest model is even better than ever.

With the exterior design refined to appear wider, its bumper draws your eyes to the new LED lights (which now come as standard). Matrix LED headlights are also available as an additional option. Rear dynamic turn signal LED lights are also included with the Matrix lights option. What’s more, the new Q2 also draws attention when the car is locked and unlocked thanks to the new light sequencing.

With all the exciting new additions to the Q2 exterior, customers can also choose from five new colours: Apple green is celebrating its premiere with Audi, and Manhattan gray, Navarra blue, Arrow gray, and Turbo blue are new with the Q2.

Inside, new Dinamica microfiber material replaces the Alcantara material. The optional equipment is also bundled into packages, providing climate control, comfort, function, interior, infotainment, or assist. When it comes to seats the Q2 extras include sport seats, a height-adjustable front passenger seat, two-zone automatic air conditioning, and auxiliary heating. The interior benefits don’t stop at the cabin, the luggage compartment of the compact SUV can handle an unchanged 405 litres (14.3 cu ft), expanding to 1,050 liters (37.1 cu ft) when the rear seat backs are folded down.

When it comes to performance, the Q2 is sporty and agile – with each trim adding to the performance of the already impressive base trim. Providing progressive steering, increased handling and vehicle dynamics while manoeuvring and on winding roads, the drive is even more enjoyable.

Safety is also a key feature in the compact SUV. Featuring Audi pre sense (which uses a radar to observe the area in front of the car in order to avoid accidents or reduce their severity) and lane departure warning as standard. A number of optional systems are subdivided into three packages: Drive, Safety, and Park packages. The assist package Park includes a reversing camera and the parking system plus, while the park assist, which can steer the car into and out of parking spaces automatically, is available as an upgrade. The assist package Safety includes the side assist, rear cross-traffic assist, and the Audi pre sense basic and Audi pre sense rear systems.

As the special launch edition, the Q2 will also be available as a special model with exclusive equipment – Edition One. Painted in Apple green or Arrow gray, with an S line bumper with a gray contrasting paint finish and a large roof edge spoiler adding accents, the launch edition will feature black mirror caps and Audi rings, Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch wheels from Audi Sport, and the sport suspension further accentuate the look.
