Audi e-tron SUV Set For Autumn Launch
Audi have revealed their intentions to release a new premium SUV towards the end of the year from their e-tron range. Like other cars from the family, this SUV will be completely powered by electricity.
The SUV will be based on the same MLB platform that the Audi Q5 and Q7 are based on, however this new SUV will feature an all-electric powertrain, with the final production form being unveiled in the latter half of the year.
Audi have previously stated that they're aiming towards a total travel range of 311 miles from a full charge.
No detailed specifications have been released yet, however a previous concept of the car from 2015 featured three motors; one in the front and two in the rear. The concept car could also accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds from its 496bhp and 800Nm of torque.
The announcement of this SUV is of no surprise, with Audi launching a total of eight new premium SUVs over the next two years.
