Audi TT Celebrates Twenty Year Anniversary
In celebration of the Audi TT reaching its twenty-year anniversary, it has been rewarded with new updates giving it a fresh new look as well as technologically advanced equipment.
It has received upgrades to the exterior design and equipment, with a new range of engine available in addition to a brand new, special edition model; the Audi 'TT 20 years'. This celebratory edition takes inspiration from one of the very first concept cars and is very limited in number.
With the first iteration of the Audi TT, the much-loved car shook up the coupe and roadster market when it initially was released in 1995. When it was produced and released 3 years later for the public, it had barely been changed.
To mark this special two-decade milestone, the third generation Audi TT has received minor updates to the exterior, including a 3D Singleframe radiator grille, large side air inlets as well as new options for the wheels and colours.
The S line and Black Edition models have received further updates with a new, full-length front splitter, vertical inlets and exclusive side sills with inserts. Whereas the rear now benefits from vertical air inlets with horizontal fins placed beneath the rear lights and a remodelled diffuser. The S line will gain a new 19" wheel design and the Black Edition will get a new 20" design. The Black Edition is also unique not only due to the new tyre size, but also due to the addition of a new fixed rear spoiler that used to only be available on the TT RS, which will replace the one included as standard. Finally, a new turbo blue paint finish will be exclusively available on the S line and Black Edition trims, alongside the new colours that are available across the range.
Within the updated Audi TT, various changes have been made to denote the performance qualities of this Coupe or Roadster. Folding door mirrors and heated seats are now available on the Sport and S line versions, with the latter being able to take advantage of Super Sports Seats. The Black Edition is now equipped with Piano Black inlays in addition to a new Chrome Slate Grey finish for select interior components.
The Audi Virtual Cockpit also gains a new sport display that provides information on engine output, torque as well as g forces. Other new features include keyless go and Audi Music Interface. New engines are also available, further enhancing the performance and power of the Audi TT to a new level.
As well as the new upgrades to the Audi TT, the 'TT 20 years' special edition will truly mark this iconic milestone with only 999 models being available worldwide. This ultimate Audi TT will be equipped with fine Nappa leather in moccasin brown with specific Panuka contrast stitching to pay tribute to the early versions of the Audi TT with its 'Baseball Leather' upholstery. Another standout specification of this special edition are the 'TT 20 years' badges that can be seen on the steering wheel gear lever knob. Furthermore, the design also includes stainless steel tailpipes, Matrix OLED rear lights and a matt-finished Audi insignia above the side sills.
The Audi 'TT 20 years' will be available in either Coupe or Roadster body styles and can be coloured in Arrow grey or Nano grey.
