Team Girls Only Get Ready For Nürburgring 24-hour Race With Golf GTI TCR

The women of the team 'Girls Only' are getting ready to participate in the ADAC TOTAL 24h race, in which a total of 150 teams will be competing.

To prepare for the challenges they will face over the 24 hours, the team are planning all procedures which will take place throughout the race in great detail, whilst additional plans are made to counter the unforeseen issues that may occur.

The Girls Only team's Golf GTI TCR typically requires a pit stop on the Nordschleife every 9 laps, by which time the 100-litre tank of the car requires more fuel. The fastest pit stop the girls have previously recorded is 1 minute and 44 seconds, which also gives them enough time to swiftly switch drivers.

Three different drivers will be driving the Golf throughout the 24-hour race, which will vary depending on numerous factors. One of which will be the bad weather that is common to Nurburgring which will place greater strain on the drivers as they battle the elements.

Physical fitness is also a major part of preparing for the 24-hour race for all of the team, including the mechanics who will need to be quick and precise during pit stops and be able to easily handle heavy objects.

A lot of the team expect to be awake for the whole 24 hours purely from the excitement of the race itself. However there will be a rest room for the girls to rest in if they need peace and quiet.
