ŠKODA at the Geneva Motor Show 2019

ŠKODA will be presenting their full range of mobility services at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, which runs from now until 17th March.

2019 marks ŠKODA’s 124th year and is an exceptionally exciting time for the brand as they enter their eMobility era. Over the next four years they will be investing around two billion euros in alternative drive systems and mobility services.

Take a look below at some of the highlights they will be presenting at this year's event:


The ŠKODA VISION iV, the first to be built on Volkswagen Group’s new MEB modular electric car platform, offers a concrete look ahead at the future ŠKODA family that will run purely on electric. The model is a unique looking vehicle thanks to 22-inch wheels, illuminated glass elements and ‘shark fin’ shaped cameras instead of traditional wing mirrors. Its planar lithium-ion battery provides a range of up to 500 km.


The ŠKODA KAMIQ is set to become the brand’s first city SUV, following on from the success of KODIAQ and KAROQ. This model combines all of the practical advantages of an SUV, such as high ground clearance and a higher seating position, with the sleek design of a compact vehicle.


The ŠKODA SCALA has been given a new name to match its unique character. The model is full of the latest technology, offering exceptional levels of active and passive safety features, exceptional space. This exciting new model is set to be released later in 2019.


The World Rally Champion ŠKODA FABIA R5 has been updated and given a new look. At their stand this year, guests can experience the thrill of the racing car in two simulators. They will also be bringing along its WRC2 World Cup trophies from 2016 and 2018.


The new KLEMENT electric mobility solution represents the idea of an environmentally friendly lifestyle for modern customers. This futuristic two-wheel concept is an ecological alternative to the car, with an electric motor and brake energy recuperation to help accelerate the bike to a top speed of 45 km/h.

KAROQ & KODIAQ New Features

ŠKODA’s KAROQ and KODIAQ models will also be presented at the event with some exciting new innovations, which will soon be included as standard. New technologies include Side Assist with a range of 70 metres and DCC adaptive chassis control. The KAROQ adds the 2.0 TDI 190hp 7-speed DSG to its range, whilst the KODIAQ gets a new tyre pressure monitoring system.
