ŠKODA OCTAVIA Named Autocar Best Family Car 2020

The ŠKODA OCTAVIA has been awarded Best Family Car 2020 at the Autocar Britain’s Best Car Awards.

The award ceremony is new for 2020 and aims to celebrate the very best of what’s available for buyers, highlighting the top options in particular ranges. Unlike other awards, the Autocar categories are not price or sized based.

The Autocar judges were impressed by the OCTAVIA for many reasons including practicality, refined driving and value for money.

“It’s comfortable, spacious, well-finished and well-equipped and it has really strong, refined and economical engines. Stress-relieving family transport doesn’t get better than the OCTAVIA Estate.”

- Matt Saunders, Autocar road test editor

The new OCTAVIA was first released earlier this year, quickly proving itself as a worthy successor to the third-generation, which itself won many awards. The new model is bigger, more practical and is packed with even more technology than ever, making it perfect for family life. Its impressively large boot and class-leading interior space means nothing has to be left behind, with plenty of space to store everything you need. The model also boasts a huge range of new assistance and connectivity features, to ensure every drive is stress-free and connected.

There are plans to expand the OCTAVIA range before the end of 2020, with the addition of new mild-hybrid e-TEC variants as well as a plug-in hybrid OCTAVIA iV model. A new range of vRS models will also be added up the line-up, including the vRS iV – the first-ever electrified vRS model.
