
ŠKODA SUPERB iV Voted Best Family Plug-in Hybrid
The ŠKODA SUPERB iV has been awarded the title of Best Family Plug-in Hybrid at the DrivingElectric Awards 2021.
The model was launched in early 2020 but has already amassed many awards, being recognised as one of the very best plug-in hybrid cars on the market.
The DrivingElectric Awards comprises of 17 categories and the SUPERB iV was named the winner of the Best Family Plug-in Hybrid award. DrivingElectric specialises in news and reviews for electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars and use the awards to showcase the very best vehicles the market has to offer.
Explaining the reason for the SUPERB iV win, Richard Ingram, Driving Electric editor explained: “The ŠKODA SUPERB is an impressive and accomplished car in all respects, so it’s no surprise that the recently introduced petrol-electric plug-in hybrid version has scooped this award.

The SUPERB iV is available in four trims and a choice of hatch or estate body styles. The model boasts a combination of a turbocharged 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine with 85kW electric motor, helping to deliver 218PS. The SUPERB iV can travel up to 578 miles on a single tank of fuel with fully charged battery when in hybrid mode, with the ability to drive zero-emissions for up to 37 miles. This covers more than the average daily commute.
