ŠKODA Team Up With Paloma Faith

Songwriter, singing sensation and fashion icon Paloma Faith is now a brand ambassador with ŠKODA. As part of her new role, Paloma will be part of the Driver’s Seat Initiative. The Initiative is a partnership with the Prince’s Trust, working to give young creative people the chance to create their own future.

Paloma is set to record her own version of ‘Make Your Own Kind of Music’, the 1969 hit that is the soundtrack to the Driver’s Seat Initiative. The key lyrics “make your own kind of music, even if nobody else sings along” are representative of the message the campaign is driving, which is the promotion of individuality and encouraging young people to unlock their full potential. The television ads featuring the song will air in March and will feature the new ŠKODA Karoq.

Paloma Faith said this about the campaign: “The idea to inspire people to ‘make their own kind of music’ is extremely powerful, and I am excited to be working alongside ŠKODA to bring this to life. The Prince’s Trust is a charity that is close to my heart and was an organisation that helped me when I was a teenager. The new initiative that we are launching will provide real opportunities to young people, helping them achieve whatever they dream possible.”

Kirsten Stagg, Head of Marketing at ŠKODA UK, commented: “Paloma embodies the Driven by Something Different attitude. She has an individual self-confidence, an infectious optimism, and a spirit that sets her apart from the rest. We feel privileged to be working with Paloma as we launch the Driver’s Seat Initiative.”

The Driven by Something Different campaign was launched last year and featured Sir Bradley Wiggins.
