Find out more about each model below.
The CITIGOe iV looks set to be the perfect city vehicle, powered not only purely by a battery but also without generating any emissions. Its 36.8kWh lithium ion battery allows for an impressive range of up to 265kmkn in the WLTP cycle, meaning city traffic is a breeze. The iV can accelerate from 0 to 100km in just 12.5 seconds, with a top speed of 130km/h.
Despite being the smallest ŠKODA in the range, there is still generous amounts of room for the cabin for four passengers and a boot capacity of 250 litres. This can be increased to 923 with the rear seats folded down.
From the exterior, the CITIGOe iV boasts a noticeably different design, with a redesigned front coloured bumper. Fog lights and LED daytime lights come as standard, with integrated indicators and the ‘ŠKODA’ block lettering on the tailgate to create a modern look all the way round. Inside, the car has been revamped to reflect its new technology. The instrument panel has been redesigned, whilst a range of trims and colours are available. Standard technology includes a Swing II radio and Move&Fun smartphone docking station on the dashboard, Lane Assist and front airbags.
Series production of the model is expected to begin in the second half of 2019.
The new SUPERB iV is set to be the brand’s first production model to feature plug-in hybrid technology, combining an efficient petrol engine with an electric motor to offer more eco-friendly mobility without a compromise on performance. The battery can be charged at home using a standard plug socket or in just over three hours using a wall box with a 3.6kW output. The battery can also be recharged whilst driving, using the petrol engine and brake energy recovery.
The model offers an impressive boot capacity of 485 litres in the hatchback and 510 litres in the estate. Although spacious, its design is still stylish and sleek, with a redesigned honeycomb bumper and rear iV badge.
The Superb iV boasts an impressive range of the latest generation of infotainment to keep drivers connected and informed on the move. The Amundsen navigation system with 8” displays comes with standard, with many Infotainment Apps also available including Weather and News. As well as this, Trailer Assist and Area View assistance systems have been exclusively reserved for the model, ensuring a stress-free and safe drive round every turn.
The SUPERB iV’s market launch will take place at the beginning of 2020.
This exciting new iV sub brand symbolises the next stage of ŠKODA’s commitment to their 2025 Strategy, investing two billion euros in the development of electric vehicles and new mobility services over the next five years.
