ŠKODA Unveils VISION iV Concept
ŠKODA have revealed images and details of their new full electric coupé, the ŠKODA VISION iV.
The four-door crossover-coupe reflects another step towards ŠKODA’s electric future, with a sleek and modern design to match. The car is built on MEB, ŠKODA’s modular platform for electric cars.
The model boasts 22-inch aerodynamic wheels and ‘shark fin’ shaped cameras instead of wing mirrors. Its striking front end blends a sleek horizontal light strip in the upper part of the grille with thin, determined headlights. At the rear, stunning crystalline LED light features continue with three-sided ‘C shaped’ lights and the ‘ŠKODA’ lettering proudly lit up in the centre.
Oliver Stefani, Head of ŠKODA Design, explained “The front wide lighting blade is a brand-new feature which will be typical for ŠKODA EVs. It creates the face of this concept car and delivers very modern and up to date look and also supports very strong and confident stance of the car.”
The ŠKODA VISION iV concept is set to be fully revealed at the Geneva Motor Show next month (7th – 17th March). ŠKODA is currently planning to present more than 10 electric models by the end of 2022, investing around two billion euros in alternative drive systems and new mobility services. The SUPER PHEV with plug-in hybrid drive and fully battery-powered CITIGO are set to be revealed this year, with the first production models based on the MEB launched in 2020.
