The Best Of Both Worlds: The New SEAT Leon e-Hybrid

SEAT have released details about their latest model, the new SEAT Leon e-Hybrid. The model will feature their innovative new e-Hybrid system to offer exceptional performance with low emissions driving.

Much like a typical hybrid, the new SEAT e-Hybrid system can recharge the battery automatically, as well as by plugging in. The new advanced e-Hybrid technology uses the electric motor to recharge, as well as gaining additional power from being plugged in and resorting to the petrol engine when the other methods of energy are not available. So by simply plugging a SEAT e-Hybrid into a conventional power network, the intelligent technology potentially offers a further range than a pure battery electric car.

SEAT have launched the new SEAT Leon e-Hybrid, which features this innovative e-Hybrid technology. The new Leon e-Hybrid benefits from an increased range of charging options, giving a potential to maximise the total range in 100% electric mode. By using regenerative braking, plus the flexibility to charge and use the battery on your terms, the e-Hybrid system offers up to 38 miles* with zero emissions and saves you money on your daily commute at the same time.

By combining a plug-in 75kW electric engine with a 1.4 litre TSI engine, the e-Hybrid system achieves an astonishing 204 PS of power. When working together, the new Leon e-Hybrid can achieve a whopping 497 miles*, with a range of nearly 40 miles in pure electric mode. What’s more, the self-charging aspect of the regenerative breaking system increases the range possibilities even more.

Whether charging on the road or at home, the new SEAT Leon e-Hybrid offers quick and convenient charging, thanks to a 3 hour charge time from 0-100% using a home Wallbox charger such as Pod Point and a 0-100% charge time of 6 hours with a conventional 3-pin plug.
