Vauxhall Limited Edition Corsa Griffin Celebrates Anniversary

Vauxhall have unveiled the exciting new Limited Edition Corsa Griffin model to celebrate 25 years of its best-selling Corsa model.

This high specification model boasts many great features such as gloss back alloy wheels, black exterior trim and Griffin-branded features. These include branded floor mats and unique ‘Griffin’ badges on the front wings of the car. This original model is a must for Vauxhall fans.

As standard, it features 16-inch gloss black alloy wheels and a stylish black roof, door mirrors and front grille logo bar, as well as dark tinted rear windows. Inside, standard equipment includes satellite navigation, front fog lights, air conditioning, heated front seats, leather-trimmed and heated steering wheel, automatic lights and wipers and an automatic anti-dazzle rear view mirror. The exterior colour of the Corsa Griffin is also customisable.

There are four models available, with three or five door body styles and with a 1.4 litre petrol engine at 75PS or 90PS. The model can achieve up to 49.6mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 130g/km.

Vauxhall first adopted the Griffin as its logo in 1915 and has come synonymous with the brand ever since. Chief Engineer and Designer at the time, Laurence H Pomeroy, offered the prize of two guineas for the design of a new symbol. The brief was for a heraldic design and the prize was won by a young apprentice called Harry Varley who suggested the image of a griffin - a mythical creature depicted on the coat of arms of Fulk le Breant, driving a “V” flag into the ground.

Once the Griffin was chosen, the logo began to evolve over the years, becoming simpler and more graphic up until the present day.
