Vauxhall Reveals All-New Vivaro Life
Vauxhall revealed details of the new Vivaro Life at the Brussels Motor Show on 18th January. It is due to go into production at Vauxhall’s manufacturing facility in Luton, Bedfordshire with order books opening in February.
The MPV will be offered in two lengths: the ‘Medium’ 4.95m and ‘Large’ 5.30m. Each van comes with up to nine seats. Inside, exceptional comfort and sophisticated driver assistance systems await, including infotainment and smartphone integration via a 7.0-inch touchscreen, head-up display and camera/radar based active cruise control. The Vauxhall Connect navigation system features real time traffic information to help keep you on the move.
The Vivaro Life will offer impressive luggage capacity of around 4,500 litres, with a larger tailgate and easier access for loading and unloading. Seats are available in leather or cloth, with a ‘Lounge’ trim available for Large models, featuring front seats with massage and electric heating, two moveable chairs in the back, a moveable, fold away table and a 230V plug socket.
As well as being exceptionally spacious, all versions of the Vivaro Life are less than 1.90m high, meaning they are able to access typical underground garages and carparks. Navigating through city streets is easy thanks to ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear bumpers alerting the driver of obstacles when parking. The rear camera also offers 180-degree visibility from the bird’s eye view.
Vauxhall are planning to offer a purely electric version in early 2021, as the brand takes another step towards electrifying its range. Along with the Vivaro Life, Vauxhall plans to market a total of eight new and refreshed models, including the next generation all-electric Corsa and Grandland X plug-in hybrid.
