Volkswagen Releases New ‘We Score’ App For Football Fans

Volkswagen has released a new In-Car app for the current Golf model, so football fans never have to miss out on the action.

‘We Score’ delivers live football updates to the vehicle’s cockpit, including news, tables and latest scores, all shown on the car’s infotainment display. All of the information can be read out to the driver using the ‘text-to-speech’ function.

The app is available to download for free via the In-Car Shop, for all Golf models from 2020 onwards. It is supported by the ‘Discover Pro’ and ‘Discover Media’ infotainment systems. Once downloaded, users can set up to three clubs and one national team as favourites. Push notifications are displayed in a way that does not distract the driver. A live ticker provides real-time match updates and the table can be brought up to show the latest standings. The app coves the top two divisions and main cup competition relevant to the country, such as the European Championships.

Volkswagen has always been a huge supporter of football and shows its commitment to the sport in various different ways. It is the official mobility partner to the German Football Association (DFB) and at an international level, Volkswagen is a mobility partner of UEFA national team tournaments, including the European Championships, set to take place this summer.
