Introducing The ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS iV - ŠKODA's First Plug-in Hybrid

ŠKODA unveiled their first Plug-in Hybrid powertrain vehicle, the OCTAVIA RS iV, a fourth generation ŠKODA OCTAVIA that combines tradition with innovation. Paying tribute to the history of the RS, the new ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS iV features signature black bodywork elements and a sporty interior design. Steering the way to a sustainable future, the new ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS iV is the first ŠKODA RS model with a plug-in-hybrid powertrain.

Instantly identifiable as part of the RS family, the OCTAVIA RS iV features a black ŠKODA grille, sporty black rear diffuser, dynamic front apron with black air curtains and a rear apron featuring Aero Flaps. Continuing the sporty look, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS iV also features black alloy wheels with red brake calipers and a black RS rear spoiler, while the COMBI estate features a roof spoiler in body colour.

As for the interior, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS iV features a predominately black interior contrasted with colourful stitching on the sports seats with integrated headrests and on the leather covered three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.

The ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS iV is the first RS model where dynamic performance is ensured by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. A 1.4 TSI petrol engine and an 85-kW electric motor combine to produce an output of 180kW (245 PS) and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, with CO2 emissions of around 30 g/km over the WLTP cycle. The OCTAVIA RS iV has a range of up to 55 kilometres in all-electric mode.

ŠKODA are also set to reveal another electrified version of the OCTAVIA RS iV. A plug-in hybrid powertrain version of the OCTAVIA iV, its 1.4 TSI joins forces with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 150 kW (204 PS) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. This model features a lithium-ion-high-voltage battery with a capacity of 37 Ah and an energy content of 13 kWh. The OCTAVIA iV can be charged at home from a 230-volt mains socket or a wallbox for added convenience.

Another ŠKODA vehicle making its debut is the KAMIQ SCOUTLINE, ŠKODA’s first ever SUV available in a SCOUTLINE variant, featuring large alloy wheels, matt black wheel arch covers and bold silver bodywork elements give this city SUV a real road presence.
