ELEGANT EXTERIOR

The carbon fibre exterior of the Evija is arguably one of its most striking features, its stretch and aerodynamic designed body. The muscular shell and low to the ground ride height of just 105mm, demonstrates its powerful performance. The exterior has been designed to assist with performance, the fluid forms and crisps lines, plus the gently curved bonnet is reminiscent of Lotus’ previous designs.

The Lotus Evija is the first road car produced to feature laser lights for both main and dipped beams. Produced by OSRAM Continental, the lighting provides an outstanding view of the road ahead. The thin vertical headlights showcase its highly technical design.

INNOVATION

From its exterior design to its interior technology, the Evija features clever innovative engineering.

The exterior is built using one-piece of motorsport inspired carbon fibre monocoque chassis, using an identical manufacturing process to that of an F1 chassis constructed with multiple carbon plies. The chassis ensure the lightest, safest and most technically advanced Lotus road car platform ever built.

The Evija is the first Lotus model to provide the driver with a full suite of digital and connected infotainment features. The powerful on-board modem enables communication to the cloud, and the introduction of the Lotus smartphone app to interact with data, from battery charge status and driving range to remote use of the air-con.

RECORD BREAKING POWER

Targeting figures of 2,000 PS and 1,700 Nm of torque, the Evija is the world’s most powerful production road car. Racing from 0-62 mph in under 3 seconds and with a top speed of 200mph, the Evija offers an exhilarating performance.

The Evija also boasts the world’s fastest charging battery. With the ability to accept an 800kW charge, although charging units capable of delivering this level are not commercially available yet, when they are it will be possible to charge the battery in just 9 minutes. Currently, with the use of 350kW unit which is the most powerful currently available, the Evija’s charging time will be 12 minutes to 80% and 18 minutes to 100%. With a range of 215 miles on the WLPT combined cycle, the Evija breaks new ground for charging and power.

LIMITED NUMBERS

A maximum of 130 examples will be built of this ground-breaking model to guarantee exclusivity. It was first known by its Lotus Type number- Type 130 before it was given the name Evija. The name is derived from its variations of Eve and means the ‘first in existence’ or ‘the living one’. The Evija is the story of continuing innovation at Lotus, and signals the start of an exciting new chapter.
