Design

The EC40 Electric creates a striking silhouette, thanks to its slimmed crossover side profile, standard contrasting black roof and mirror caps.

There are 84 Pixel LEDs in each headlight unit, which adapt to traffic in front and have been designed to help you avoid dazzling other road users. Whilst travelling, the EC40 Electric can fast charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes. When the battery is at 100 percent, the EC40 Electric has an estimated range of up to 339.9 miles. For charging at home, a charging wallbox device is recommended. The EC40 Electric has an advanced body structure with a unique battery safety cage, which is designed to protect all occupants.

Technology & Safety

Google Maps is fully integrated into the EC40 Electric, whilst handsfree voice control is enabled by Google Assistant which allows you to access real-time traffic info and automatic rerouting.

Google Maps can be used to show where the nearest charging stations are, which is perfect for longer journeys. Google Play allows you to seamlessly stay connected to your digital life, creating a streamlined driving experience. The EC40 Electric has been designed to receive automatic over the air updates, so your car will always be up to date. With four cameras providing a 360-degree view and flank sensors at the side of the car, you can park confidently, even in confined spaces.

Interior

Inside, there is a Harman Kardon premium sound system to make journeys more enjoyable for you and your passengers.

The back-lit décor is translucent, creating a natural and soothing glow inside, which is complimented by the dynamic leather-free Connect upholstery and interior ambience that reflects the car’s character. The EC40 Electric is 100% leather-free, including the steering wheel, gear shift and upholstery, making it more sustainable and resistant. As standard, there is a fixed panoramic roof with tinted glass which provides effective protection from glare and UV radiation, whilst allowing the cabin to maintain a comfortable temperature. Using the Volvo Cars app, you can control features including preheating and precooling your vehicle, allowing you to remotely create the perfect space before each journey.
