Apprentice Technician Opportunity

Are you passionate about vehicles and eager to develop your technical skills?

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Technician to join our team at Worthing Volvo! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside industry professionals, and you'll be trained to become a key member of our service team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all work efficiently and accurately, following Company and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Adopt a ‘right first time’ approach while working both in the workplace and at college or academy.
  • Clean, identify, and return parts for warranty claims to the parts department.
  • Handle customers' vehicles with care, ensuring the highest standards of service.
  • Stay up to date with technical literature and manufacturer equipment.
  • Maintain and enhance skill levels in all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Keep your work area clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with safety regulations and report defects clearly on job cards.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with customers when discussing repairs.
  • Immediately report any damage or faults to technical equipment, workshop tools, or customer property.
  • Utilize tools and equipment to improve workshop efficiency and customer service.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping by clocking on and off and ensuring job numbers are recorded.
  • Complete job cards with detailed notes on any components that have been replaced.
  • Use car protection equipment (e.g., wing covers, seat covers, floor mats) to ensure a clean and safe environment.
