About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Body Shop Operative to join our team at Caffyns Volkswagen/Skoda Eastbourne SMART Paint Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, preparing, masking, and repainting motor vehicle bodies to a high standard, including alloy wheel repairs. You will also oversee the daily operations of the body centre to ensure safety, efficiency, and the achievement of financial targets.

What you’ll do each day
- Perform preparation and paint spraying on vehicle body surfaces and alloy wheels in accordance with manufacturer instructions and industry standards.
- Ensure all repair and painting work meets the highest quality and safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and work completed on each vehicle.
- Monitor paint materials and notify the Aftersales Manager of any shortages.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Body Centre, ensuring a high standard of work and the achievement of financial targets.
- Manage a team of technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Undertake any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Aftersales Manager.

- A good understanding of Health & Safety regulations within the automotive industry.
