Audi have confirmed details about the new A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron, both now available to order in both Sportback and Avant body styles. The electrification of the A6 and S6 for the first time represents the brand’s ambitious e-mobility strategy.
The new models are built upon the Premium Platform Electric, just like the recently launched Q6 e-tron. This new era of Audi model offers drivers outstanding performance, range, efficiency and charging capabilities. Low, arching rooflines and clean-lines hint at just how aerodynamic these models really are. Their sleek design is complemented by a frontal black mask with slimline headlamps, trademark quattro blisters and a 3D rear light strip.
The all-new A6 e-tron Sportback is the most aerodynamic Audi in history, boasting a low drag coefficient of 0.21. The Avant is also one of the best in the segment at just 0.24. Adding to the cars’ sporty credentials is a 100kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering 380PS. The A6 Sportback and S6 Avant e-tron feature a motor on each axle for a total of 550PS. Additional variants are set to follow after launch.
A6 Sportback e-tron and Avant e-tron performance models are capable of impressive maximum driving ranges of up to 463 miles and 437 miles respectively, whilst the S6 Sportback e-tron can cover up to 405 miles and the S6 Avant e-tron 388 miles. Powerful charging is also available thanks to 800-volt technology and a maximum DC charging capacity of 270kW. The A6 Sportback e-tron can charge 192 miles in just 10 minutes, keeping you going when you need it most.
Inside, the A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron offer superior comfort. The interior features enveloping ‘soft wrap’ from door to door for a premium feel. All models feature an 11.9” Audi Virtual Cockpit and 14.5” MMI touchscreen. MMI navigation plus, wireless smartphone charging comes as standard too, plus new AI supported voice control for optimum convenience.
Keep safe round every turn with the models’ range of driver assistance features including TopView camera and Parking Assist Plus with 360-degree exterior coverage, adaptive cruise control, Emergency Brake Assist, Intersection Cross Traffic Assist and Swerve Assist.
A6 e-tron performance models are available in three specifications - Sport, S line and Edition 1 - while the S6 e-tron is available exclusively with a specially tailored version of the Edition 1 package. All trims offer unique technology and style enhancements. Optional Sound & Vision Packs are also available on all trims, offering a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, ambient lighting and more.
The A6 Sportback e-tron and A6 Avant e-tron models are priced from £69,900 and £71,700, whilst the new S6 Sportback e-tron and S6 Avant e-tron models are priced from £97,500 and £99,300,
