Audi has revealed the first look inside the new Audi Q9. It is Audi’s first large full-size SUV with a spacious and exclusive interior, suitable for family, business and long journeys on the road.

Space is the stand-out feature of the Q9. For business-class comfort, customers can choose the optional six-seat layout where the middle row comprises two electrically adjustable individual seats with active ventilation in the centre panels to create a level of comfort usually found in business class. The exterior will also feature a new roof rack for a more practical storage space when on the road.
The lounge-like atmosphere is further enhanced by the ventilation and massage functions in the sports seat plus. For an elevated driving experience when transporting a large family, the seven-seater model allows the three seats in the second row to be fitted with child seats. Additionally, for a quick switch-up to make more room for storage, the third-row seats can be folded down.
Opening and closing the doors on the Audi Q9 will become an intuitive experience. All doors will be operated electrically whether that’s with the key, the myAudi app, the MMI, brake pedal or seatbelt buckle making for an effortless experience. With the extensive set of sensors, the door is able to detect if there are obstacles in the way to make sure there is enough room to open it safely.
Additionally, natural light is able to flood the cabin with the panoramic sunroof, creating an expansive and airy atmosphere. It can be opened wider to create a true open-air experience. There is also the option to keep the sun out with the effective flare protection which reflects infrared light and blocks more than 99.5% of UV radiation. When the car is parked, the roof becomes opaque to prevent others from looking inside the car.
There is an impressive lighting design inside the Q9 with the contour lighting in the dashboard and doors to enhance the width of the interior. The illumination is as standard on the front doors with the option to upgrade this for the rear doors. Audi combines the lighting with the premium sound system to sync with the rhythm of the music and create an immersive experience. The colour scheme will also match the music’s cover art.
Audi utilises a range of high-quality selection of materials and colours which include new fabric and wood trims. The interior is further complemented by decorative elements such as silk beige, lime structure natural or fine grain ash natural. The interior has been designed to create a cabin of tranquillity and luxury.
The Q9 will also feature modern charging options with two new wireless charging pads and USB-C charging ports. This ensures two smartphones are able to charge simultaneously.
Audi will reveal the Q9 at its world premiere on 29th July 2026.
