Audi has upgraded the electric bestseller, Audi Q4 e-tron, to make it more versatile with a new range of features. The interior offers a refreshed design with a reimagined digital stage, intuitive controls and a spacious cabin. The exterior creates a sharper design and new lighting features.

“With this product upgrade, the Audi Q4 e-tron is not only more modern and striking in appearance but also impresses with an improved interior. New features and numerous improvements to the vehicle make the electric entry point into the Audi brand even more attractive – for families and our fleet customers.”

This will be one of the first models to support bidirectional charging with its high voltage battery that can both receive energy from the grid and feed energy back to external devices. The Vehicle-to-Load function allows e-bikes a place to charge. In selected countries, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, it offers Vehicle-to-Home where the Q4 e-tron can serve as a home battery.

The enhanced Q4 e-tron Sportback offers up to 367 miles of range with its more efficient electric motor. The maximum SUV charging capacity has increased on the Q4 SUV e-tron quattro performance from 175kW to 185kW. This ensures drivers are stopping for quick pitstops. This also allows charging time to be 27 minutes, from 10% to 80%.

There are two battery options to choose from with the Q4 e-tron in both the SUV and Sportback between 63kWh and 82kWh. Additionally, the increased towing capacity has also increased to 1,800kg in models with quattro drive.

The updates to the electric motor features newly developed power electronics. This improves efficiency by using silicon carbide semiconductors for the pulse inverters. Overall, efficiency has increased around 10% from the previous model.

The cabin now features a panoramic display with an 11.9-inch instrument and a 12.8-inch MMI touch display. The 12-inch passenger display is an optional feature which will offer a customisable standby design. Additionally, the intuitive design is further enhanced with the Audi assistance which controls vehicle functions and can also answer questions about the logbook.

The exterior features a more modern and expressive design with short front overhangs, large wheels and muscular side panels. On the Q4 SUV e-tron, there is a black accent strip running down the length of the roof to give the impression that it's floating. Additionally, the SUV looks more aerodynamic with the newly contoured rear spoiler and a redesigned high-set diffuser for a sporty finish.

Lighting has been taken to the next level with the digital LED daytime running lights with segmented technology. Safety has also been improved with the second-generation digital OLED rear lights. Additionally, the optional proximity lighting alerts other road users when they are too close.

Safety has also been improved with the driver assistance systems in the Audi Q4 e-tron. Standard features will include: parking system, cruise control, and adaptive cruise control. For further assistance, adaptive driving assistant plus is available which helps with acceleration, braking, maintaining speed and lane guidance.

Pricing starts at £46,260 for the Audi Q4 SUV e-tron in the UK, whilst the Sportback versions start from £48,160 with orders expected in June, and deliveries later in the summer.
