Lotus has unveiled the new Emira 420 Sport, the most powerful, lightest and most aerodynamically advanced Emira ever produced. Positioned at the top of the Emira range, the 420 Sport has been engineered to deliver an even more engaging driving experience on both road and track, staying true to Lotus’ focus on agility, responsiveness and driver involvement.

Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 420PS and 500Nm of torque, the Emira 420 Sport is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It accelerates from 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 186mph.

Available with an optional Lightweight Handling Pack, the model sheds 25kg compared to the Emira Turbo while generating an additional 25kg of downforce. The pack includes two-way adjustable Multimatic dampers, a titanium exhaust, lithium-ion battery, carbon fibre components and a dedicated Lotus Track Performance app for lap time recording and analysis.

Aerodynamic enhancements include a redesigned front splitter, revised vents, larger air intakes, extended side sills, a rear lip spoiler and louvred tailgate. These updates significantly improve cooling performance, helping the car maintain consistent performance during demanding driving conditions while subtly drawing inspiration from iconic Lotus models such as the Esprit Turbo.

Further chassis refinements include a 5mm lower ride height, revised suspension settings and high-performance tyres, enhancing steering precision, stability and driver feedback. Inside, the driver-focused cabin features 12-way adjustable seats, intuitive controls and new carbon fibre gearshift paddles for greater engagement.

Customers can further personalise their Emira 420 Sport with an optional exterior carbon fibre pack, nine wheel designs and a choice of 16 exterior colours, including the exclusive Tangelo Orange. Additional interior packages introduce carbon fibre detailing and hand-painted orange accents throughout the cabin.

For the first time, Lotus is also offering a removable tinted glass roof panel across the entire Emira range. Inspired by the Esprit, the panel can be easily removed and stored behind the seats, allowing drivers to enjoy open-air motoring without compromising the car’s dynamic performance.

The Lotus Emira 420 Sport is available to order now, with first customer deliveries expected from August 2026. Discover the Lotus Emira or contact Caffyns Lotus today for more information.
