Volkswagen has achieved an impressive five category wins in the 2024 What Car? Electric Car Awards, further confirming that Volkswagen is a manufacturer that produces high-quality electric and hybrid cars, for both everyday use and business needs.
The five awards for Volkswagen were awarded are:
- Golf 1.5 TSI eHybrid – Best Hybrid Family Car
- Passat 1.5 TSI eHybrid – Best Hybrid Estate Car
- Golf GTE – Best Used Hybrid Family Car
- Passat GTE – Best Used Hybrid Estate Car (fourth year in a row)
- ID.3 58 kWh – Best Used Electric Family Car (second year in a row)
The winners of the What Car? Awards are selected by a team of expert judges, who evaluate the vehicles based on a variety of factors including driving range, performance, design, practicality, running costs and overall value for money. The aim is to inform and highlight the very best electric and hybrid models available on the UK market.
Since launching over 50 years ago, the Volkswagen Golf has become a true favourite with the car-buying public and its latest accolades prove this won’t be changing any time soon. The model remains an affordable and practical choice for every day driving. The Golf Style eHybrid boasts a 19.7kWh battery with a 1.5 TSI petrol engine, which offers an impressive electric driving range of up to 88 miles between charges. The model can also now be charged using DC charging at rapid public charging stations for extra convenience.

This is also the fourth year in a row the Passat GTE has been awarded Best Used Hybrid Estate Car. The Golf GTE picked up Best Used Hybrid Family Car, proving that whether customers choose new or used, they are in safe hands with a Volkswagen.
