Audi has introduced the new sporty Q5 Sportback, a stylish coupé-SUV blending dynamic design with SUV practicality. The model will be available in the UK from 14th January 2025, with prices starting at £52,450 (OTR). Deliveries are set to begin in May 2025.
The Q5 Sportback offers a sloping rear and elegant lines, combining sportiness with versatility. It features up to 515 litres of luggage space (470 litres in the SQ5 Sportback), expanding to 1,415 litres (1,388 litres for SQ5) with rear seats folded. Towing capacity reaches 2,400kg.
The Audi Q5 Sportback presents a sleeker design, highlighted by a broad Singleframe grille, vertical air curtains, and sharp headlights for a bold appearance. A dynamic rising line extends along the rocker panels and wheel arches, enhancing its sporty stance. The sloping roofline from the B-pillar and horizontal shoulder line add to its elongated, dynamic profile. At the rear, smooth surfaces blend into a sculptural light strip, accented by a sharp horizontal cut. A sporty boot lid breakaway edge and integrated diffuser complete the modern design, with S models featuring signature twin round tailpipes.
The Q5 Sportback is offered in Sport, S line, and Edition 1 trims, with the SQ5 Sportback featuring its own unique styling. Sport models include dynamic design accents, such as a Scandium Grey grille, Volcano Grey contrast bumpers, matte black diffuser, and 19-inch 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels. S line, Edition 1, and S models add larger air intakes, sportier diffusers, and distinctive chrome or black detailing around the grille and rocker panels. Edition 1 and SQ5 models feature black window trims, while second-generation digital OLED rear lights (standard on SQ5 Edition 1) and projection lights above the rear window (standard from S line) enhance safety and style.
The Q5 Sportback's interior combines Audi’s design philosophy with user-focused functionality and sustainability. Highlights include the MMI panoramic display and passenger display (Edition 1), creating a sleek, digital focal point. High-contrast design enhances the three-dimensional architecture, blending aesthetics with ergonomics. A “Softwrap” spans the doors, cockpit, and centre console, fostering a cosy, cohesive ambiance. Sustainable materials, like recycled Cascade upholstery (optional on S line) and Dinamica microfibre (Edition 1), underline Audi’s commitment to eco-friendly design.
