In honour of the legendary racing driver, Jim Clark, Lotus have introduced the Emira Clark Edition which will make its debut at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
Clark won the Formula 1 World Championship with Team Lotus in 1965 alongside the Indianapolis 500. The same year, Clark celebrated victories in Formula 2 and the Tasmin Series in Australia and New Zealand, as well as winning the touring car races in Lotus Cortina.
This tribute to Jim Clark is down to his innovation and excellence in racing.
The body of the Emira is in Clark Racing Green with a contrasting roof, silver mirrors, with the iconic yellow racing stripe inspired by Clark’s Indianapolis 500 Lotus Type 38.
Inside, the seats' asymmetrical finish is akin to the red-trimmed Lotus racing cars Clark drove in 1965. The driver’s seat is upholstered in red leather, contrasting the black leather of the passenger seat.
In addition, the Emira Clark Edition has a 60s inspired wooden gear knob with a Jim Clark badging featuring his personalised tartan from Scotland. To further honour the racing legend, his signature is detailed on the dashboard along with Team Lotus on the seats.
It is powered by a 400 hp supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine with a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential. There is an unfiltered hydraulic steering feel, as well as sports suspension, Track Mode and revised exhaust sound, making for a stylish tribute to the legend.
This limited edition Lotus commemorates the racing legend Jim Clark and makes for a collectors item for car enthusiasts worldwide.
It is priced at £115,000 in the UK.
