Vauxhall Astra and Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer return with refreshed styling, enhanced electrified powertrains and outstanding value, as Vauxhall confirms pricing and specification for the updated family car range. In a unique move within the segment, both body styles share identical on-the-road pricing across every trim level, meaning customers can enjoy the additional practicality of the Sports Tourer estate without paying a premium. Electrified versions of the Astra are also offered at the same price regardless of powertrain, providing greater flexibility and value for drivers.
The new Astra line-up takes inspiration from the bold design direction of the Vauxhall Experimental concept. The front end now features a sharper interpretation of the signature Vizor grille, while the illuminated Griffin badge sits proudly at the centre. Compass-inspired lighting signatures extend from the emblem into the headlights and bonnet crease, giving the Astra a more modern and distinctive appearance. High-spec models also feature advanced Intelli-Lux HD adaptive headlights, which utilise more than 50,000 individual light elements to deliver precise, glare-free illumination for safer night-time driving.
A comprehensive range of powertrains ensures the Astra caters for a wide variety of drivers. Alongside efficient petrol options arriving later this year, the line-up includes a 48-volt hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric model. The updated Vauxhall Astra Electric benefits from a larger 58.3kWh battery, increasing its driving range by 22 miles to up to 281 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. Rapid charging capability allows a 20–80% recharge in approximately 32 minutes, while new Vehicle-to-Load functionality enables the car to power external devices when required.
Inside, the Astra’s interior has been refined with improved materials and enhanced technology. A redesigned dashboard features a scratch-resistant satin finish, physical controls for key functions and an updated ambient lighting system. All versions include ergonomic Intelli-Seats made from 100% recycled materials, designed to improve comfort on longer journeys.
