The new, top of the range Vauxhall Grandland has won a ‘2024 Golden Steering Wheel’ award in Germany, where it is sold by Vauxhall’s sister brand, Opel.
The model took home the ‘best car up to €50,000’ thanks to its outstanding style, dynamics, space and powerful electrified drivetrain. The award, presented by AUTO BILD and BILD am SONNTAG, is renowned as a one-of-a-kind accolade in the industry. This latest award for the New Grandland takes Opel’s overall ‘Golden Steering Wheel’ tally to an impressive 21.

The New Vauxhall Grandland features many of the visionary innovations from the Experimental Concept from 2023 and is the first Vauxhall on the BEV-native STLA Medium platform. Its new 3D Vizor is head turning, with illuminated Griffin included on certain trims, as well as illuminated Vauxhall wordmark on the rear.
Inside, the Grandland features two widescreen displays, with optional head-up display also available. On the Ultimate trim. Pure Mode reduces content displayed to a necessary minimum at night or at high speeds. Ergonomic seats on every trim ensure that every drive is extremely comfortable and assured. The vehicle’s impressively large boot offers up to 1,645 litres of space, so there’s room for all your luggage.

The ‘Golden Steering Wheel’ award ceremony took place in Berlin's Axel Springer Haus. The awards have been going since 1976. Opel’s first win came in 1978, with the Opel Senator A.
