Volkswagen has opened order books for the new trims available on the new Volkswagen Golf. The high-performing versions are the Golf GTI Clubsport, R, R Estate, and R Black Edition, which include some of the most powerful production cars Volkswagen currently produces.
The Golf GTI Clubsport was unveiled at the Nürburgring in Germany, presenting its eye-catching Clubsport styling, including bold front bumper and honeycomb air-intake grille, plus the latest IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights. The GTI Clubsport also features keyless access and start, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, and Volkswagen’s latest infotainment software and hardware. The model's 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol TSI engine with a seven-speed direct-shift gearbox has the ability to go from 0-62 mph in just 5.6 seconds. The new Golf GTI Clubsport is available to order now from £41,655.
The new Golf R and R Estate offer a dynamic driving experience thanks to the DCC adaptive chassis control system and an output of 333 PS. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine has a seven-speed DSG and 4MOTION all-wheel drive with R-Performance Torque Vectoring. The upgraded R interior features front sports seats with integrated head restraints and a clear and responsive 12.9-inch touch display. The new Golf R and R Estate are available to order now, priced from £43,320 and £44,685 respectively.
Rounding up the new Volkswagen line-up is the Golf R Black Edition, with 333 PS. The 2.0-litre TSI engine has 4MOTION four-wheel drive and a seven-speed DSG transmission. This model is able to sprint to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 186 thanks to the inclusion of the R performance package. The new Golf R Black Edition features a smoldering dark exterior, complete with black 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels. The Black Edition is available now from £44,570.
