Škoda has teamed up with Readly, a digital app for reading newspapers and magazines, to provide its owners with free access to a vast library of content. This partnership, offering Škoda owners two months of complimentary reading on the Readly app, marks a first in the automotive industry. The offer is open to both new Škoda customers and those who have bought a new model within the past four years. To qualify, customers also need a compatible online infotainment system with a display over nine inches.
“We are excited by this collaboration which is an innovative way to reach our target audience and collaborate with Škoda, a like-minded family brand. New car owners love to explore their new car console so it's the perfect treat to keep the family happily reading or doing puzzles on an ipad or mobile whilst on long car journeys, to relax when at a stop over or charging point or read about all the new features and travel tips in the breadth of automobile and travel titles on the Readly app too.”
- Marie-Sophie von Bibra, Chief Marketing Officer at Readly
To enjoy this offer, which provides unlimited access to Readly's collection of 7,700 digital magazines and newspapers, owners simply scan a QR code found in the Offers menu of their vehicle's infotainment system. Scanning the code directs them to a Readly landing page on their smartphone or tablet, where they can activate their free access. After the two-month trial period ends, owners can choose to subscribe for £12.99 per month or cancel without any obligation.
The Offers infotainment app is seamlessly integrated into Škoda’s in-car system and can be activated with just a few taps on the screen, followed by an email confirmation. Created to alert owners to local offers and deals, it helps drivers save money and find great bargains during their journeys. While the offer is activated through the car's infotainment screen, the content itself can only be accessed on a smartphone or tablet.
