Škoda’s Elroq has been named the Car of the Year by The Car Expert, placing at the top of the list of best cars for 2026.
They are awarded based on calculations from the Expert Rating Index. The Car Expert then places an overall score to each new car that accurately reflects the country’s consensus on automotive titles.
Škoda’s Elroq consistently scored high on practicality and value for money. Reviews praised the Elroq for its intelligent design and ease of use.

Škoda’s Elroq also took the title of Car of the Year and Mid-Size SUV of the Year at the Auto Express New Car Awards and was also named Best Family Electric SUV by What Car?
There are three battery options available; the 63kWh, 82kWh and 84kWh. All feature rear-wheel drive with the 82kWh battery option featuring a combined WLTP range of up to 360 miles.
