The newly updated Octavia vRS is now available to order. The sporty model is the most powerful Octavia in production, thanks to its revised 2.0 TSI engine that generates 265PS. The new vRS will join the Octavia line-up along with the new diesel-powered SportLine model. The new Octavia vRS features a single powertrain option of an updated 2.0 TSI four-cylinder petrol engine, from the same EA888 family which is fitted in the Škoda’s championship-winning Fabia RS Rally2 car.
The revised engine of the new Octavia vRS is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard, delivering a 0-62mph time of just 6.4 seconds. Despite its impressive power, the vRS remains efficient, with a WLTP combined fuel consumption of 40.8mpg. The VAQ electrohydraulic differential lock ensures optimal grip through corners, preventing wheel slip while maintaining precise handling.
The Octavia vRS has been redesigned that boasts updated front and rear bumpers, a new vRS logo on the grille, and distinctive black accents on the grille surround, side window trim, and door mirrors. The rear features black-finished bumper diffusers and tailpipes, while the Estate includes standard black roof rails. Eye-catching 19-inch Elias anthracite alloy wheels complete the bold exterior.
Inside, the vRS interior is dominated by black with its bespoke Design Selection. Standard features include a sporty three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel, aluminum pedal covers, and fabric sports seats with red contrast stitching and the vRS logo. The seats also offer electrically adjustable lumbar support and a massage function.
The updated vRS models come with advanced technology, including a 13-inch infotainment system, 10-inch Virtual Cockpit, and optional head-up display. Front passengers enjoy fast-charging USB-C ports and a ventilated wireless charger, while rear passengers benefit from USB-C ports and a dedicated rear-seat air conditioning zone. Additional standard features include an electric boot with a virtual pedal, keyless entry, start/stop functionality, and blind spot detection.
The new vRS models sit above the current SportLine trim, which now expands to offer a new diesel variant. This addition includes Škoda’s 2.0 TDI 150PS engine, delivering an efficient WLTP combined fuel consumption of 60.6mpg. All SportLine models feature a seven-speed DSG gearbox and share the sporty styling of the petrol versions, including 18-inch Vega Aero black alloy wheels, metallic paint, and gloss black accents. Inside, SportLine models come with sports seats, black headlining, and carbon-effect door inserts, and are available in both hatch and estate body styles.
The new Octavia vRS is available from £38,670 and comes in Hatch and Estate and the diesel powered SportLine is available from £35,775.
