The New Passat Recieves Five Star Rating In Euro NCAP

The new Passat has been awarded five stars in the Euro NCAP consumer protection programme. This makes the new Passat one of the best-rated mid-sized models of 2024 in the independent European resting body’s overall ranking.

The ninth generation Passat continues to be one of Volkswagen's best-selling models and proves to impress customers with its safety features. The estate model impressed the experts at Euro NCAP with its host of safety features. The safety assessment covers four categories and received its highest score in the Adult Occupant Protection with a score of 93 percent. The new Passat also received very good scores in the other categories: Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable Road Users, and Safety Assist, all achieving over 80 percent.

The new Passat comes with a range of assist systems as standard, including Side Assist, Lane Assist, ACC stop & go, oncoming vehicle braking when turning function, Park Distance Control, Rear View, and Dynamic Road Sign Display using the front camera. All these features are included in the entry-level model, allowing customers to have access to these safety features at no extra cost.
