Vauxhall have released a new plug-in hybrid option to join the Grandland electrified range. The Grandland Plug-in Hybrid will join the fully electric and 48V hybrid variants to offer customers another flexible choice for their driving needs.
It will deliver up to 51 miles in all-electric range with a 21kWh battery. This will also attract a benefit-in-kind rate of 10% for the upcoming tax year. With the hybrid mode, the petrol engine and electric motor will work alternatively with the 55-litre fuel tank increasing the range for journeys.
The exterior will feature a family-friendly mid-sized SUV with the recognisable design language from the other models in the range. The Edge Light Technology lights the way with the Griffin logo at the centre of the grille, complemented by Intelli-Lux HD headlights on the Ultimate trim. The Grandland is one of the largest models in Vauxhall’s SUV line-up which ensures passenger comfort and practicality.
As standard on the Design model, the Plug-in Hybrid will come with 19-inch alloy wheels, the GS models will feature 19-inch diamond-cut alloys and the Ultimate trim comes with 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The interior is filled with high-tech for a driver-focused cockpit to ensure everything is within reach. For the highest levels of comfort, the driver can enjoy ergonomic seats with the patented Intelli-Seat feature in the front seats which will relieve pressure on the tailbone.
At the centre of the cockpit is the 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless connectivity. Additionally, the 10-inch cluster in front of the driver provides them with important information. The GS and Ultimate trims will feature a 16-inch infotainment system.
Offering zero local emissions electric driving and an efficient petrol engine performance, the Grandland Plug-in Hybrid is the perfect choice for everyday drives and long journeys. It features a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine within a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission with a 21kWh battery for an efficient all-electric range up to 51 miles. The power output is 225PS and 350Nm of torque, delivering an impressive acceleration of 0-62mph in just 7.6 seconds.
The standard specification is generously equipped with a driver assistant system with rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist. The Ultimate trim features Intelli-Drive 2.0 as standard which includes semi-automated lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert and long-range blind spot detection.
