Vauxhall Introduces New Pricing Structure for Corsa Electric and Astra Electric

Vauxhall has introduced a new pricing structure for the Corsa Electric, Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric, in a bid to make electric vehicles more attainable for drivers.

The new starting price for the Corsa Electric Design is £29,045 OTR, with the GS and Ultimate trims priced at £31,230 OTR and £33,040 OTR respectively, offering customers a generous reduction of £4,150.

The Corsa Electric Long Range will also be available in an entry-level Design trim for the very first time, priced from £30,440 OTR. The GS and Ultimate trims are £32,625 OTR and £34,435 OTR respectively. The Long Range model features a 51kWh battery and 156PS motor to deliver up to 248 miles of electric range.

The Astra Electric Design is now priced at £34,945 OTR , alongside GS and Ultimate trims at £37,240 OTR and £39,395 OTR respectively. This means customers can enjoy a saving up to £3,865 on the Ultimate trim. Opt for the entry-level Design trim Astra Sports Tourer Electric and enjoy a £3,850 lower starting price than before.

This new pricing structure follows the newly introduced Corsa YES Edition (£26,895 OTR) and Astra Electric Griffin (£23.495 OTR), designed to make Vauxhall’s electric models even more accessible. Vauxhall has also confirmed that the upcoming New Frontera Electric and New Frontera Hybrid will both be available at the same list price. This will make Vauxhall the first manufacturer in the UK to offer parity between electric and petrol hybrid versions of the same car. Order books open later this year, and both versions will start from £23,495 OTR.

“The new pricing structure on Corsa Electric and Astra Electric is the latest in a number of measures we have taken to democratise access to electric vehicles – including becoming the first brand in the UK to offer an electric and petrol hybrid car for the same list price with New Frontera. Our five-year PCP offer on electric models means customers can enjoy equivalent monthly payments with petrol models over four years, while the special edition Corsa Electric YES Edition and Astra Electric Griffin make going electric even more attainable.”

- James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall

Aside from vehicle prices, Vauxhall has taken several other steps to ensure electric vehicles are more accessible than ever, including five-year PCP and a partnership with Tesco where customers can collect 50,000 Clubcard points when purchasing a new electric vehicle. Vauxhall’s Plug&Go offer also includes a choice of free Octopus Energy Ohme Pro wallbox or £675 public charging credit when buying online. Plug&Go also comes with an eight year/100,000 mile battery warranty and three years roadside assistance.

New Vauxhall electric vehicle customers also receive an Octopus Electroverse card, giving access to over 750,000 public chargers in the UK and Europe via a single account.
