The New Vauxhall Astra and Astra Sports Tourer are now available to order, bringing refreshed styling, enhanced technology and a broader choice of powertrains. Inspired by the bold Vauxhall Experimental concept, the latest Astra range offers petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric options to suit a variety of driving needs.
A new addition to the line-up is a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, providing an accessible entry point to the range from £27,495 OTR. Delivering 130PS and up to 48.7mpg (WLTP Combined High), it combines strong performance with everyday efficiency.
For those looking to make the switch to electrified driving, the Astra range offers hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains. The updated Astra Electric now features a larger 58.3kWh battery, increasing driving range to up to 281 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. With the Government’s Electric Car Grant applied, Astra Electric models are available from £28,495 OTR, making them even more accessible.
Uniquely, the Astra Sports Tourer is priced exactly the same as the hatchback across the range, allowing customers to enjoy additional practicality and load space without paying a premium.
Three well-equipped trim levels are available. Griffin models feature heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, satellite navigation and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. GS models add a sportier appearance, larger alloy wheels, upgraded Pure Panel Pro displays and keyless entry. At the top of the range, Ultimate models benefit from Intelli-Lux HD headlights, heated and massage seats, a head-up display, wireless smartphone charging and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems.
The Astra Electric also benefits from Vauxhall’s Electric All In package, which includes charging support, roadside assistance, connected services and home charging incentives, helping make the transition to electric driving easier than ever.
