The Vauxhall Frontera has been awarded ‘Value Car of the Year’ at News UK Motor Awards 2025.
The new Frontera was praised for its exceptional value for money, with its practicality, style and electrification rolled into an affordable package. There is a choice between fully electric or hybrid powertrains as part of Vauxhall’s commitment to electric mobility for all.
“Vauxhall has flipped the switch with Frontera Electric. Normally, the price difference between petrol and electric is about 30 per cent. Batteries aren’t cheap. But Frontera Electric is actually £2k cheaper than a petrol Frontera at £22k. Finance from £144 a month. To us, value means offering more for your money than you’d expect, and Frontera delivers that in spades.”
- Rob Gill, Motors Editor at The Sun
Vauxhall has ensured that the switch to electric has never been easier. They have removed the traditional price premium and with the introduction of the Electric Car Grant, the new Frontera Electric is cheaper than the hybrid equivalent with the starting price being £22,495 OTR.
“The new Frontera perfectly illustrates our commitment to electrifying Britain. Frontera led the way as the first car in the UK to be available in electric and petrol-hybrid guise with an identical list price for both, and now goes even further with the Frontera Electric starting at a lower price than its hybrid equivalent. With a generous specification, spacious interior and rugged design, it’s gratifying to see it recognised as the best value car of 2025.”
- Steve Catlin, Vauxhall Managing Director
The new Frontera is available with the Electric All In offer which allows customers to enjoy eight years of roadside assistance, £500 credit towards a Ohme home wall box installation or credit, as well as 10,000 free miles of free home charging when making the switch to Octopus GO.
