The Tayron offers up to 885 litres of luggage space for five passengers, making it ideal for holidays. It will soon be available with seven efficient drive options, including two plug-in hybrids with over 62 miles of electric range. With a towing capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes, the Tayron is both stylish and capable for hauling various trailers.
The Tayron, measuring about 4.8 meters, boasts a bold SUV design. Its LED headlights and illuminated Volkswagen badge create a distinctive front light signature, echoed at the rear by a full-length LED crossbar and glowing logo. Sharp lines enhance its premium look and sleek silhouette. Inside, the cabin features soft-touch surfaces, with options for materials like ArtVelours Eco microfibre and open-pore wood, along with illuminated decorative trim.
“The new Tayron is a bona fide Volkswagen: its quality is reflected in every detail; it is comfortable and practical for everyday life, and it is available with a wide range of drive systems. With this new Volkswagen SUV, we are further expanding our range in a growing segment and closing the gap between our best-seller, the Tiguan, and our luxury SUV, the Touareg. I am convinced that the Tayron will make its mark and be well received by our customers.”
- Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars
The Tayron's base model, the Life, comes well-equipped with features like nine airbags, three-zone automatic climate control, 10-color ambient lighting, and a 32 cm infotainment screen with navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
