Volvo’s EX60 impressively reaches 810 kilometres on a single charge in all-wheel drive. It has been optimised for real-life driving and for customers to enjoy their daily drive without any range anxiety.
"The EX60 is designed to be a gamechanger. With our new electric vehicle architecture, we directly address the main worries that customers have when considering a switch to a fully electric car. The result is class-leading range and fast charging speeds, marking the end of range anxiety."
- Anders Bell, Chief Technology Officer at Volvo Cars
Not only does it feature a long range, it also has an impressively fast charge. The EX60 can reach 340km of range in just ten minutes with a 400kW fast charger. More so, all customers of the EX60 will get a 10-year warranty on the battery. This fast charging makes a charging stop nearly as swift as a fuel stop.
Volvo is able to ensure maximum efficiency with an electric range which matches cars powered by petrol engines as a result of the SPA3, an advanced electric car architecture. The battery is directly integrated into the structure of the car with cell-to-body technology making it more energy efficient, and cutting down on excess weight.
It is one of the first Volvo cars being replaced with a single casting in the production process. With the lighter materials and less heat generated, it is able to support a faster charging time.
Additionally Volvo has developed algorithms, with Breathe Battery Technologies, which allows the vehicle to adjust how the battery takes in power. This ensures it utilises its most optimal operating zone and in all weather conditions.
For a new all-electric era, with fewer parts, the EX60 does not need to undergo the conversational service as often.
It is set to be revealed on 21st January 2026.
