This week, the new Volvo EX30 Cross Country was revealed at a secluded cabin in the north of Sweden. The location reflects how this exciting new model has been designed for people who want big adventures and experiences in a small, fully electric SUV.

In Sweden we face harsh winters, but we also like to make the most of them by getting out and exploring our amazing nature, even when it’s minus 20 Celsius outside. That’s why we want to deliver a fully rounded experience, not simply a car, to our EX30 Cross Country customers.”

The EX30 Cross Country has been designed to be perfect for the city and further afield, with an impressive electric range of up to 427km. It also has the ability to be charged from 10 – 80 percent in as little as 26 minutes. The model has been raised higher off the ground compared to the standard EX30 to enable easier navigation on rough terrain, along with larger wheels and the option of 18” all-terrain tyres, for those who regularly head out to the countryside. All-wheel drive comes as standard, ensuring tougher conditions are easily handled by the model.
Designed for adventure but to also look great, the new EX30 Cross Country features chunky front and rear skid plates as well as wheelarch extensions, whilst the front shield of the car and boot lid get a special dark colour. This rugged look reflects the model’s adventurous capabilities.
Inside, drivers can enjoy a high-tech cabin featuring clever storage space. Speakers have been moved into the soundbar on the dashboard to make room for large storage compartments in the doors. A spacious centre storage tunnel between the driver and passenger can be slid out and used as a cup holder, along with an extra compartment on the floor and a glove compartment beneath the centre console. Rear passengers benefit from a removable and washable storage box that slides out from beneath the central tunnel.
Every new Volvo comes with Google built in, meaning you get a variety of products as standard including Google Maps. Whether adventuring in the summer or winter, the Volvo EX30 app allows you to precondition the car so you can get in and be immediately comfortable. Every new Volvo is also guaranteed to be as safe as possible, and the EX30 features breaking and steering support to help avoid collisions with vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. Its driver-monitoring sensor alerts the driver if they seem distracted or tired.

The Volvo EX30 Cross Country is available to order now in selected markets, with deliveries starting later this spring.
