Volvo has excelled at the 2025 Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year Awards, winning five accolades, including the coveted overall Towcar of the Year title. The all-wheel-drive midsize SUV was recognised as the best family towcar, the best hybrid towcar, and the top choice for towing caravans over 1,800 kg. Additionally, the Volvo V90 Plug-in Hybrid T8 large estate clinched the award for the 1,700kg-1,800kg caravan weight class.

Judges praised the XC60 for its luxurious feel, stylish design, and practicality, making it ideal for carrying family-sized luggage. They also highlighted its level stance when towing a caravan and excellent visibility for reversing into a pitch.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year Awards are the UK's oldest towing awards. This year, 33 vehicles were tested at the UTAC Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire. In addition to towing capabilities, the independent judging panel—comprising specialist journalists and caravanning experts—evaluated each vehicle's practicality, comfort, and quality.
