Volkswagen, the UK’s top-selling new car brand for the past three years, is expanding its award-winning ID. electric car lineup with new trim levels. These updated options offer improved features, a sporty driving performance, and, for certain models, the introduction of a new entry-level battery. The ID.3 hatchback now offers two new trims: Pure Essential and Pure Match. Both feature a 52 kWh battery with 170 PS, a 240-mile range, and fast charging of 10-80% in 25 minutes. Pure Match adds extras including 18-inch alloys, metallic paint, heated seats, navigation, dual-zone air conditioning, and a rear-view camera. Prices start at £30,850 for Pure Essential and £32,210 for Pure Match (OTR, including VAT).
The ID.4 Pure Match now includes 19-inch Hamar alloy wheels and comes with a reduced price of £39,550 (OTR, including VAT), a drop of £3,090. The ID.5 range expands with the new Pure Match trim, featuring a 52 kWh battery like the updated ID.3. It offers a range of up to 222 miles and includes 19-inch Hamar alloy wheels, metallic paint, a comfort package, a rear-view camera, carpet mats, and tinted windows. Pricing starts at £41,050 (OTR, including VAT).
The new ID.4 and ID.5 GTX Edition trims deliver the performance of the GTX models with extra features at competitive prices. Both offer 340 PS, 0-62 mph in 5.4 seconds, and a top speed of 112 mph.
Enhancements include metallic paint, Assistance Pack Plus (with features including area view camera, electric tailgate, and Park Assist Plus), and Interior Sport Pack Plus (ergoActive seats with massage and ArtVelours inserts). These additions, typically worth £6,500, are included with prices starting at £52,205 for the ID.4 GTX Edition and £53,705 for the ID.5 GTX Edition (OTR, incl. VAT).
