Appealing Style

The Polo offered an athletic design from the standard trim, through to the GTI trim. With 15-inch alloy wheels as standard, or 17-inch alloy wheels as part of the R-Line trim.

The Polo also features an eye-catching LED light strip on the front between its IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED beam headlights, lining the sleek grille. The Polo headlights also feature chrome details, as well as the option to personalise colour contrasting roof or fog lights. What’s more, the new Polo is available with an optional electric panoramic tilting/sliding roof for enhanced light, without compromising interior comfort.

Dynamic Performance

The Polo is also available as a GTI variant, which features a DSG dual clutch gearbox, allowing seamless gear changes and helping you to save fuel, whilst delivering its sporty performance.

Its powerful engine switches to drawthrough, even at low revs. It has an acceleration of 0 to 62mph in just 6.7 seconds, so you’ll notice it every time you start the engine. The XDS electronic differential lock offers maximum driving enjoyment on winding drives. Plus, there is a selection of driving profiles to automatically adapt the engine, steering and gearshift to the right drive type, including eco, normal, sport and customised.

State-of-the-art Safety

The IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist keeps you to your lane and keeps others at a safe distance; thanks to a touch-sensitive surface it can detect whether you physically have your hands on the wheel.

Travel Assist provides assistance during tiring situations and helps keep you in your lane and maintain your speed, whilst taking into account the distance from vehicles in front, especially on motorways and major roads. The Park Assist feature tells you whether a parking space is large enough when driving past and can also drive into it for you, so you only have to control the clutch, accelerator and brake and observe your surroundings. The Side Assist lane change assist system calculates whether a vehicle could pose a hazard based on position and speed.

Enhanced Connectivity

The We Connect feature gives you access to a range of key vehicle data, making it easier to place breakdown calls or schedule servicing.

Using the We Connect app for smartphones, you can check the remaining fuel range, or check that all doors and windows are closed. We Connect Plus provides the option of additional smart technologies, including intelligent navigation, through which you can receive up-to-date traffic information on route changes virtually in real time, or find warnings regarding traffic disruption. Online route calculation allows you to respond to changes in conditions and take the best possible route. App-Connect displays music, news, maps or audio books on the infotainment system screen, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink available for connecting smartphones.
